My boyfriend breaks up with me every few weeks, help?

My boyfriend and i have been together for a year, and it hasnt always been good. in the last few months he has broken up with me every few weeks, firstly because of family & work issues (which are now sorted out) and then again because of a little fight we had. Everyone says to move on and forget him but we shared so much together and it is just so hard. He also told me maybe we'll speak in a few months and in the mean time its over for good, he cant keep going this way with me & we both need to take a step back. Why wont he sort things out together instead of constantly running away? I want him in my life but not breaking up with me every few weeks. help :( he also told me how much he still loves me and cares for me but is ignoring me
