Have you ever gone back in your files to find poems and wondered why you saved them?

Those I wrote I keep for future reference or editing. Reference, when I use those poems and merge them, or parts of them, with others that I also wrote (or will write) to create new poems. There was a time when i took three (ugly) poems and merged them to form a new (ugly) sonnet that received good critique and comments. Editing, when I know they'd still make it just a bit hed after polishing, if I posted them up for critique.
