What would you do in this situation?

Today I found my friend during lunch he gave me a hugh hug and then we started walking around the lunch cafeteria.Except,he put his arm on my shoulder.I mean really how is that gay?I just see it as a friend thing but people say its gay? Anywho,We walked around like that halfway in the hallway and people were like thats "gay" and all that.They of course didn't say it to my face cause they know they would get knocked to there feet.Anywho,Should I move his arm? or like try to redirect him from where there aren't alot of people? Idk.We are extremely close to each other and he is my best friend.I just dont know about this? People say im to worried about my rep but idk? What would you do? Thanks
