Georgia court appearance?

I got into an accident in Effingham County, Georgia, and was given a ticket for improper lane usage. The cop who wrote the ticket suggested strongly that I appear in court. Unfortunately, the court date is on January 10th, which happens to be the day my college starts back from winter break. When I called the Court to try and get the date changed, I was told I had four options. I could simply pay the fine, I could go to court on that day, I could have it moved, or because I lived more then 2 hours away I could....something. I have completely blanked out on what that fourth option could be. Anyone have an idea?
